Wesleyan Foundation 2019

We were delighted to discover recently that we’ve been successful in our application for funding from the Wesleyan Foundation Large Grants 2019, via Community Foundation Wales.
This project will see us working in Cardiff to replicate the work undertaken in North Wales, bringing together older people as well as people living dementia and their carers. Concentrating on two separate communities in Cardiff, chosen in consultation with public and third sector agencies, we will undertake life reminiscence activities in groups and/or one to one, resulting in the creating of digital life story books. These groups will provide a safe, fun environment where participants (some with their family or carers) can also build confidence using and enjoying IT. We will show them various ways they can connect with family and friend wherever they are in the world and we will help the groups find a sustainable location to extend the impact on loneliness, isolation and independence beyond the initial 6 weeks, by using both our life story work and also some digital inclusion.
Keep up with our work on this projects and our other work both on this website and blog and also on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
