Conwy Council Project with Care Homes

Conwy Council have funded Book of You to work with 3 homes in the area in February and March 2020. This is following on from our successful project with Ayr Las in 2019.

Book of You will be working with Eryl Fryn Nursing Home in Llandudno, Bryn Eithin Hall in Colwyn Bay and Aingarth Residential Care Home in Colwyn Bay for a period of 6 weeks. The sessions will be supported by our staff and volunteers and we will be training staff and family members to use Book of You, as well as monitoring the benefits to wellbeing etc across the project. The project will be analysed with a full social value report which can be shared with clients, families, regulators and stakeholders.

Alongside the benefit to wellbeing for the residents and family members, an additional benefit can be be to promote digital inclusion for those who could use and would benefit from it, for example Skyping their families. This will of course depend on the needs/abilities of the people taking part, but we will be happy to assist with this if needed. It is something we are already delivering to clients we are working with in NE Wales at the moment.
