Book of You are granted one of the first Dementia Aware Community-Led Grants from DVSC

Book of You were thrilled to win one of the first round of Denbighshire Voluntary Services Council’s (DVSC) Dementia Aware Community-Led Grants recently. Danielle will be working together with local musician and artist, Elfin Bow and film maker, Victor Pennington. The plan is to create a short film starring people who are currently living with dementia – hearing about their experiences and the challenges they face and looking at what local businesses currently do to support them and sharing ideas of how we can all help them live well.

The launch of the Denbighshire Dementia Aware Network will take place at Eirianfa Community Centre in Denbigh on Wednesday 22nd May between 10am and 2pm. There will be speakers, the chance to learn what we can all do to make Denbighshire a dementia aware county and there will be the chance to hear from some of the grant award winners, hearing about their ideas and what they are learning along the way.
