Places Remaining on the Rhyl Flats Community Fund Learning Disability Project

We have a small number of places left on our current learning disabilities project, run by Rhyl Flats Community Fund.
Rhyl Flats covers the areas of Abergele, Pensarn, Colwyn, Eirias, Gele, Glyn, Kinmel Bay, Llanddulas, Llandrillo yn Rhos, Llysfaen, Mochdre, Pentre Mawr, Rhiw & Towyn. If you are a young adult with a learning disability, or if you care for a young adult with a learning disability, you could be entitled to a free place on this project, which helps people to create and share a multimedia life story book using our digital web app.
The app has been shown to be successful in a number of ways and is very flexible. Firstly on an individual basis, it is a safe and secure way to create a digital life story book, documenting things which are enjoyable and memorable. It can be shared amongst friends, family and carers. It can also document progress made in various areas, for example if someone has learned how to make themselves a cup of tea, this can be filmed. Last year The National Autistic Society said they found this aspect particularly useful when writing up reports.
The project will end in July and places are offered on a first come first served basis. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please get in touch with Kathy on 01492 555381 or by emailing info@bookofyou.co.uk.
