Our mission is to help people tell their story and connect with each other, improving wellbeing, enhancing identity and making needs and wishes known. We developed organically from our initial concept supporting people living with dementia to share their life stories with loved ones, to storytelling in its wider sense and now include more diverse beneficiaries including older people who are lonely and isolated, veterans, refugees, migrants, young adults with a learning disability and others. Recently, we have seen a shift from personal life stories to community-based stories that support wellbeing, connectivity, different cultures, heritage and community cohesion, and have started a volunteer project around ‘Care Home Buddies’.
