Would you like to work with us?

Book of You CIC are recruiting sessional workers this year to work with us on our latest North Wales projects, including those living with dementia and also young adults with learning disabilities.
Book of You CIC won the Tech For Good category at the Social Business Wales Awards in 2017. In 2018 we are looking to expand our work across the UK and to help as many people as possible with our multimedia life story/reminiscence web app. At the end of last year, we updated our app to make it simpler and more intuitive and our feedback from users is very positive.
The work you’ll be doing will be interesting and varied. We are looking for people of all ages but you must have excellent communication skills and be at least reasonably confident using digital technology (especially tablet computers/iPads) as this is the main focus of our work. You will need to have a full UK driving license as your work will be with clients and their carers as part of group sessions, or in their own home. An up to date DBS check will be required and we will provide this if necessary. Please note, this will not be transferrable. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable but not essential. Sessional workers are employed on an ad hoc basis, when and where there is work to be done. You are free to accept or decline such offers of work.
The posts will suit people who are looking to work, or have worked in the caring profession or who have an interest in dementia, digital inclusion and/or learning disabilities. Previous experience in this type of work is not essential as you will receive full training and ongoing support, but as you will be working on your own most of the time, you will need to feel comfortable with this.
If you would like to find out more, we are holding a no obligation information morning in Room 3, The Optic Centre, St Asaph Business Park, Ffordd William Morgan, St Asaph LL17 0JD on 12th February between 9am and midday. You will be able to find out more about our work, ask any questions and if you decide you would like to work with us, we will arrange an interview on a separate date shortly after.
To register for this information morning, please contact Kathy on 01492 555381 or by emailing info@bookofyou.co.uk
