Community Book Celebration Event – 31st August 2022 at Rhyl Rugby Club

Come along to our FREE Community Book Celebration Event taking place at Rhyl Rugby Club on 31st August between 2 and 4pm. There will be the chance to see all the Community Books created with Book of You between 2020 and 2022 including books about Ruthin, Denbigh, Ruabon, Rhyl, Prestatyn and the fascinating Syrian and Afghan book that tells the story of their journey to North Wales and their dreams for the future. You can meet and chat to the authors and sample some wonderful food from different cultures.

Over the last couple of years, we have successfully created Community Books during lockdown over Zoom, as well as some later ones in the normal face to face way, and as we have not been able to host the normal celebration events to thank the participants and launch the books, we are now holding this friendly joint event at the Rugby Club where the Welsh, Syrian, Afghan and English cultures will join together to share and celebrate their communal stories.
