Book of You on Radio Deeside

Last night we went over to the Radio Deeside studios, which are based at the back of Deeside Leisure Centre, to talk with presenter Jan Doyle who hosts a magazine and music show called The Loose Ladies.

We were given the opportunity to talk about the work of Book of You and our future plans.  We’ve recently had the good news that we’ve secured funding which will enable us to run Book of You sessions within care homes in the Flintshire, Wrexham and Denbighshire counties, so we will be trying to get in touch with as many people as possible who can potentially be helped for free by us during next few few months.

We spoke about the importance of reminiscence therapy and specifically life story work for people who have dementia and also told of some of the experiences we’d had so far.
