BBC Radio Wales – Pictures and Music

Last Thursday Kathy was interviewed by Tracy Cardwell, a journalist on BBC Radio Wales and the interview went out on Jason Mohammad’s Show on Friday. You can listen to the interview here – it starts just over 15 minutes in: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05mqtc5?fb_ref=Default
Also taking part in the interview were Mary, one of our service users who is a day visitor at Llys Elian Residential Care Home and her son, Jonathan. They spoke about how they’ve used Book of You as a tool to view, enjoy and talk about Mary’s paintings and sketches. It reinforces our view that a Book of You can be about anything and be made up of anything – and can be either one type of thing (in this case, paintings) as well as using many different types of media; whether personal to the service user or more generic, using resources readily available to everyone directly from the internet.
Mary still enjoys to sketch and the fact that Book of You can be added to for as long as you want, means that new sketches can be added for as long as the family wish to do so.
For those of you who enjoy music, we have recently added a new template to which you can add a piece of music (mp3 file or similar) alongside a picture.
