Book of You Shortlisted for National Awards
Posted on 24 Aug 2017
Book of You have been shortlisted in the Tech For Good category in this year’s Social Business Wales Awards, which recognises excellence within the social business sector in Wales.
Quoted in the Daily Post this week, Director Tom Barham said: “We are thrilled to be shortlisted for the Social Business Wales Awards.
“We’ve seen first hand the positive impact of our digital life reminscence work on the wellbeing of people with dementia – and we really hope that this helps us to extend our impact further in Wales through working in partnership with other inspiring social businesses”.
The awards night, being held in October at the Llangollen Pavilion in Denbighshire, recognises excellence within the social business sector in Wales.
Alongside this, we have a very exciting year ahead of us in other ways too. We have just launched version 2 of our web app which is much more user friendly, and our website will also be updated with How To Build A Book of You guides and detailed information and tips on how to run a reminiscence session with your family member, friend or in a group. These updates will culminate in a launch event at the Senedd in Cardiff at the end of September, sponsored by Rhyn ap Iorworth AM. We have 3 funded projects currently successfully running in the North Wales area and are in talks with other groups about expanding our work both throughout Wales and the rest of the UK. More details of our work will be added as they become available, so watch this space!
